We’re off on Wednesday (tomorrow) to Croatia, Slovenia and the Adriatic Coast. Another two week SmarTours adventure. We’ll land in Zagreb (Croatia) on Thursday afternoon, spend a day and a half before setting off for Ljubljana and Bled in Slovania. From there to Lake Bled, Postojna Caves and Opatija, back into Croatia. Then a day exploring the Istria Peninsula.
To the Plitvice Lakes, Zadar and Split. We’ll end up in Dubrovnik for a few days and an excursion into the Republic of Montenegro.
Lots of places we’ve heard of and never been, and lots we’ve never heard of. Please send your thoughts and recommendations on sites to see and restaurants not to be missed. And, get your stuff together…let’s go!
Was in Dubrovnik in ’89 for the music festival with the then Leningrad Philharmonic. Visited the old Synagogue, my guide, the grandson of the old Rabbi…. a must visit. The rooftops, town square, market place, seaport…. all enchantment. You’re in for a treat. Can’t wait for your impressions.
Enjoy! Love, Rhoda
Thanks for the tip Rhoda. We’ll be sure to let you know!
Have a great trip.
You will love this area. When you get to Debrovnik, if you can visit the museum at the top of the cable car ride. The images are pretty amazing.
Have a great trip. Haven’t been there since it was yogoslavia and tito was in charge. We’ll compare notes at a later date. Looking forward to ‘joining’ you .
